Goodbye Macron, Hello…

Who will make Palace's kit from the 2018/19 season?

As you may know Palace’s contract with current kit supplier, Macron, comes to an end in May and the club has been looking for a partner.

Well, I can exclusively reveal that the club will be partnered by German sports clothing company Puma from the 2018/19 season. As you may be aware I live in Helsingborg in Sweden, here in town we have the Nordic HQ of Puma who have a close link to the city’s football team, Helsingborgs IF.

What some of you may not be aware of is that I have a good friend who works there and has access to all the team’s kit details through the internal intranet.

At the time of writing I have not seen any proposed kit designs I can only reveal that over lunch my friend informed me that it is ‘a done deal’!

I’m pretty pleased with the news. My top choice would be Adidas but after them Puma would be in the top 3, with Under Armour making up the other position.

I an only hope Puma come up with some decent designs as I was told the deal is for bespoke kit designs not modified templates which we have been used to in recent years when we’ve partnered with well known manufacturers in the past, such as Nike.

As soon as I get wind of any designs I’ll let you know.
